How we handle your information

What we collect
From parents (enquiries and Vacancy Reports): your name, email, ZIP or area, child’s age or due date, number of children, start date, care days and hours, and optionally your budget and whether you’ll use a subsidy. We do not ask for your child’s name or date of birth.
From providers: business contact details, openings, photos and descriptions you send us, and billing details handled by our payment processor.
Automatically: basic usage data (pages viewed, device, browser, approximate location from IP) via cookies and analytics. [TBD: List tools, e.g. Google Analytics]
Payments: handled by our payment processor ([TBD: Lemon Squeezy / Payoneer / Stripe]). We do not see or store full card numbers.
Public data: provider listings come from public Texas HHSC records.
How we use it
- To deliver your Vacancy Report: we email providers describing your child’s age, start date, hours and area. We don’t share your name or email with a provider unless you ask us to connect you or you send an enquiry to that provider.
- To send enquiries and tour requests you ask us to send.
- To reply to you, process payments and refunds, and prevent fraud.
- To improve the site.
We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Children
This site is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. Parent forms ask only for a child’s age, not identifying details.
Sharing
We share data only with: providers you ask us to contact (as above); service providers who help run the site (hosting, email, payments, analytics), under contract; and authorities when the law requires.
Retention
We keep Vacancy Report and enquiry data for [TBD: 12 months] after delivery, then delete or anonymize it, unless we need it longer for legal or accounting reasons.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, or to stop emails, by writing to cs@daycarevacancy.com. Depending on your state (for example under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act), you may have additional rights; we’ll respond within the time the law requires. You can unsubscribe from any email using the link in it.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, but no website is completely secure.
International processing
Our team may process data outside the United States. [TBD: Confirm and describe]
